Subscriptions got a facelift!

The latest round of admin-side improvements brought new life to the Subscription details screen. Each recurring donation has its own dashboard-like experience, complete with new insights that help you understand how it contributes to your cause. Check out the new Subscription experience and other key updates that will keep your fundraising operations running smoothly as the giving season approaches!

⚠️ WordPress 6.9 Update

Heads-Up: WordPress plans to release version 6.9 on Giving Tuesday (December 2, 2025). While we're testing it extensively with GiveWP, major updates always come with risk. We strongly recommend taking action to avoid disruptions on Giving Tuesday.

Understand subscription impact

A key part of fundraising is understanding how subscriptions (recurring donations) impact your cause. The new Subscription details admin screen helps you do that with a user-friendly interface and new insights.

Here's what has changed:

• Insights: Each subscription shows the total amount contributed so far --- and the number of payments completed --- in convenient statistics cards, along with a visualization of the subscription's projected annual value.

• Design: Enjoy a modern, dashboard-like interface with information divided into different tabs so everything is easy to find and understand.

FAQ

Can I still access the old screens?

Yes. You can go to the Subscriptions list and switch to Legacy, then select the subscription, and you will get the old Subscription details screen. This will remain available until all the necessary functionality has been added to the new screen.

Are there more updates coming?

Absolutely! We're updating the Donors, Donations, and Subscriptions list tables next, and we have a lot of new features planned for all of the admin screens.

Stripe integrations received multiple updates

Stripe Basil API

Stripe recently released a new API version named "Basil" that presented some challenges for users establishing a new connection. We've updated our integration to be compatible with Basil to make connecting easier.

Stripe Fee Grade Period

GiveWP adds a 2% fee to Stripe transactions for users without a license. We now check that an active license (with any plan or add-on) is present in GiveWP before applying a fee. Issues validating your license or completing your renewal? We also recently added a 30-day grace period to protect users.

Action Needed: Update GiveWP core to version 4.8.0.

PDF Receipts works with Chinese, Japanese, and Korean

Customers reported an issue where Chinese, Japanese, and Korean characters were not showing up properly on PDF Receipts. We discovered that the fond we used no longer supports these characters. We added two additional fonts that support all characters, so you can choose the one that works best for you.

Action Needed: Update the PDF Receipts add-on to version 3.2.3.
